EGOIST

Flower photography is often treated as something pure and beautiful. Cherry blossoms are the most obvious example.
Flowers are expected to be innocent. The frame should be clean. Artificial objects should not enter. A fence, a wall,
a wire, a trace of human construction — all of that is supposed to be removed.
But why?
Are flowers really that innocent?
Many people photograph flowers. I almost never did. I simply did not know how to deal with them.
I tried photographing flowers caught in fences, wires, and artificial structures, but the results were mostly disappointing.
This morning, while photographing this flower, one word came to me:
EGOIST.
Flowers have pride.
Flowers want attention.
Flowers want to be chosen.
They are not just pretty things. They are organs of display, desire, and survival.
I did not think much about composition or concept. I barely checked my settings. I photographed it easily, almost carelessly.
Maybe that was why it worked.
